We had a counseling session for children with special needs last week.
A specialist in the field of mental retardation spoke on the issues of such
children.
It included:

Overview of mental retardation

symptoms of mental retardation
·
causes of the mental retardation
·
How to diagnose intellectual disability
·
How to overcome mental retardation
·
General guidance on caring for children with
special needs.
At last the doctor strongly asked
from the parents of children with special needs to come for regular check-ups
which will be the most important way of coping with mental retardation. Parents
discussed with the doctor about their children. So it was very useful for them to
get valuable advice from a doctor who is specialized in the field.
